UU Faith Action NJ
UU FaithAction NJ coordinates grassroots social justice advocacy with our member congregations and individual UUs and allies across the state of New Jersey. We work to establish a just and compassionate public policy that is consistent with Unitarian Universalist principles and purposes:
Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC)
Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC): We participate in the annual “Guest at Your Table” fundraiser to help support the work of this international UU agency. UUSC sponsors and funds community-based projects to assist the needy in many third world countries, as well as in the United States.
Manna House
Manna House: Our volunteers prepare and serve lunch for approximately 50 needy people once a month. Manna House is located at the First Presbyterian Church in Newton. Lunch is served every Monday through Friday by volunteers from churches and organizations throughout the county. The food is provided by Manna House. We prepare and serve lunch one Friday a month. One of our members, Phil Schaming, maintains the Manna House website.
